TIO have launched a Sonic version of their sustainable electric toothbrush heads. The brush body is made of bioplastic based on pine oil obtained in a side stream of wood and paper production. Using these plant based, renewable raw materials is better for our environment than conventional plastics made of petroleum, which requires fossil fuel extraction like fracking. 

The bristles are made using 100% renewable materials based on castor oil. The castor oil plant does not require large amounts of water or land, making it suitable for sustainable agriculture.
