January 2021 sees another Veganuary take place, it's a great opportunity to try out vegan food and cooking and even vegan friendly cosmetic products. If you're taking part in Veganuary this year and are searching for some vegan friendly alternatives, we've compiled a list below of some of our favourites! 

1. UpCircle Hydrating and Clarifying Face Mask

This eco-friendly face mask is made with the finely ground powder of olive stones from the olive oil industry which otherwise would have been discarded. It also contains kaolin clay, aloe vera and turmeric oil making it hydrating and clarifying.

2. Sophie's Soaps Juicy Watermelon Soap Bar

Every time I use this soap bar it makes me smile, it creates gorgeous pale pink bubbles when it lathers. It has the most amazing scent, and the addition of poppy seeds throughout provide a little bit of exfoliation too! This soap bar is handmade in Mullingar by Sophie.

3. Bodhi Blends Citrus and Spice Body Butter

A truly gorgeous body butter, this feels like a real treat and has a unique spiced, citrusy scent. Made with mango butter, shea butter, calendula, rosehip and jojoba oil, a little bit goes a long way with this gem.

4. Three Hills Soap Colloidal Oatmeal and Coconut Milk Bath Soak

This bath soak is super soothing and nourishing, oatmeal is great at restoring the skins natural pH while coconut milk is full of vitamins, minerals and nourishing fats. Don't be fooled by the packaging though, it's made of a plant based cellulose and can be put in your brown bin. 

5. UpCircle Coffee & Tangerine Body Scrub

The most moisturising scrubs I've ever used, these coffee scrubs contain a really high amount of nourishing oils leaving your skin really soft after use. We stock them in a variety of scents, and what is really cool is the coffee grounds are collected from London cafes and repurposed!

6.  Literary Lip Balms Pride & Peppermint Lip Balm

It can sometimes be tricky to find a vegan friendly lip balm as most of them contain beeswax, but these Literary Lip Balm ones are made with plant based oils instead. These are unique as they're named after classic books, and the scent often reflects the theme of main character of the book. 

7.   Three Hills Soap Go Fresh Deodorant Cream

If you haven't yet tried a natural deodorant, now is a great time to start! They are much better for your body and much more soothing on the skin too, this one has a fresh lemongrass and grapefruit scent.

8. Janni Bars Freya Shampoo Bar

9. Ben & Anna Black Toothpaste

This charcoal toothpaste is packaged in a glass jar making it a sustainable alternative to the usual plastic tube. Ben & Anna toothpastes are a great intro to natural toothpaste as they still foam up like a normal one.  

10. Hawthorn Handmade Skincare Night Repair Face Balm

Some of the key ingredients in this handmade balm are rosehip oil, vitamin E oil, shea butter and pumpkin seed oil. Its also high in essential fatty acids and the antioxidant vitamin A which is known for its regenerative properties.
